GDC Hajin Concludes Week Long Activities to Celebrate My Town My Pride Drive 

Hajin 30 November 2022: The NSS Unit in collaboration with Seminar and Debates Committee of the college organised joint events with the Municipal Community Hajin to celebrate “My Town My Pride” initiative of the government. On the occasion, the college collaborated in the Mehindi Competition, plantation drive and the Marshal Art contest in which different students participated. On the occasion, Arafat Rasool, Neha Jan and Shazia Akhter were presented the winning trophies for securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position in the Mehindi competition. While as in Marshal Art Contest, the trophies were distributed among the participants. Similarly, a joint plantation drive was conducted across the campus in which the saplings of different plants were planted across the campus land for making it green and clean.    

The Chief Guest, Mathoora Masoom, (KAS) Director Urban Local Bodies and Mr. Irshad Ahmad Wani, president and chairman of Municipal Community Hajin graced the occasion. The chief guest presented her views regarding the Govt. initiative with regard to My Town My Pride and the Jan Abhiyaan Mission. She appreciated the principal, staff and students of the college for their active participation, facilitation of the events and for other support. The occasion also witnessed the speeches by Mr. Irshad Ahmad Wani, president and chairman of Municipal Community Hajin as well as principal of the college, Professor Pinu Andrabi.
